My, My, My here is my latest entry to Tim Holtz's Compendium of Curiosities technique challenge that Linda Ledbetter of Studio L3 is graciously hostessing. If you do not know about this amazing 35 week challenge Check it out-the challenge is just 1/3 of the way through!!! I am sworn to secrecy not to reveal his techniques, so buying the book is a prerequisite.
Dare to Come in and Play???
I figured I could get my Halloween cards done with some of the techniques.....and it has been working out quite well...
I used a metal hand I punched out with Ten Seconds Studios metal to accomplish the technique...The hand shape is from my old jewelry dies that I had made for me back when I ran my jewelry company. Who would have imagined how they would be resurrected these days!!!

Barbara this is terrific, and wow that hand is awesome. Annette x
ReplyDeleteOuu, great oogie boogie! Your background paper is even reminiscent of the kind of house that might be left derelict, causing neighborhood ghost stories!
ReplyDeleteFun!
Very cool, Barbara! Love it!
ReplyDeleteLove it! Did you say "Old Jewlery Dies" that sounds fantastic. -Take care Shawn
ReplyDeleteI don't know if I like the background more than the technique - fabulous!! So glad I came for a closer look.
ReplyDeleteOoh, Barbara, I love the ominous feel of your Halloween card! That metal hand is SO COOL, and the chipped enamel looks great on there. The background tag is fabulous, too-- the creepy black drips are PERFECT against the embossing, and the entire concept is brilliant. Fabulous, spooky work!
ReplyDeletefabulous work. I love the spookiness of this one

ReplyDeleteHello Barbara,
ReplyDeleteWoo, a spooky card ! I really like how you used the ornamental plate in a spooky way. I like the embossed cracks on the left with the black stamp. It really stands out on the red background.
Nice halloween piece !
