Holy Cow I am getting my challenge in early this week!!! And then I am truly going outside garden ie: bundling up and pulling as many weeds and pruning back as much as I can before my gloved fingers go numb and the shivers take hold...the sun is trying to break through tho!!!

This technique is called Weathered Wood Grunge and can be found on page 50 of Tim Holtz's book A Compendium of Curiosities. I know you may be tired of hearing me say this but I truly am sworn to secrecy not to reveal Tim's techniques. Buying the book is a good way to find many new ways to approach a blank page .
Not sure how woody mine looks, but I sure had some Steampunkery kind of fun. Not sure that the Harlequin Grungeboard is a woody enough kind of design but I sure love this technique and will be using it more often

ReplyDeleteBarbara, this is SO COOL! I love the perfect Steampunk feel, and the weathered wood grunge looks awesome! Great use of the tissue tape and the little gears and sprockets, and a really pretty background, too, that ties it all together beautifully. Great job!
